Día de los Muertos 2026

A BIMA PRISM PROGRAM

Gather in celebration and remembrance in our Día de los Muertos festivities! Honor tradition, memories of loved ones, and culture during this year’s community gatherings.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a colorful, multi-day Mexican holiday typically celebrated on November 1 and 2. This deeply rooted holiday centers around praying for, remembering, and supporting the spiritual journey of those who have passed away.

From a participatory ofrenda and a market with Latine artists to student art and multiple remembrance ceremonies, including a new evening ceremony, all are welcome to join for this year’s events at BIMA!

BIMA’s PRISM programming is where art comes alive, off the walls and onto the stage. From films and concerts to artist talks and community celebrations, PRISM expands what it means to be an art museum through regular, engaging live events on BIMA’s stage, in its galleries, and outside the museum.
