During this Curated Conversation with Jake and Judy, learn about how the Nepantla Cultural Art Gallery uplifts the Latinx community, artists, and anyone seeking a place of belonging and cultural expression while delving into the question, “What is Chicana/o art, and does it matter?”

Jake Prendez is a celebrated Chicano artist and Judy Avitia-Gonzalez is a photographer & community leader in White Center. Together they founded the Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery in 2018. They have dedicated their lives to creating a powerful, evocative and accessible art space that speaks to the heart of Chicano culture.
