Artist Opportunities
Seeing a beautiful piece of art on display is only the tip of the iceberg into its story. Behind every piece is a history, a journey, and the artist who brought it all to life. At BIMA, artists are an essential part of every exhibition, every event, every day at the Museum. Without artists, there is no art, which is why supporting them is at the forefront of our work. We are always growing, adding, and evolving artist opportunities so that they — you, even — can continue to create and thrive.
The BRAVA Awards
The BIMA Recognizes Achievement in the Visual Arts (BRAVA) Awards are an annual program that honors four exceptional contemporary artists, craftspeople, or makers across four distinct categories. BRAVA provides meaningful, direct support to these working artists through an unrestricted award of $15,000 each. The awards are designed to uplift artists so they can continue to create, experiment, and make a lasting impact on the artistic world.
Vendors
The BIMA community is passionate about supporting artists and is always looking for opportunities to do this directly. We host multiple vendor markets throughout the year and are always looking for local and regional artists to come and sell at them! From the tourists who visit via the Seattle ferry to the locals who come by regularly, there is always an audience ready for you. If you’re interested in sharing your work at our BIMA Block Party, the Winter Night Market, during our Dia de Muertos Mercado, or one of our multiple other direct-to-customer vending opportunities, click the link below.
