BIMA Summer Camps

Each summer, BIMA excitedly presents summer camps to fit your young artist between the ages of 6-17! Embark on a journey of inspiration, collaboration, and artistic growth. At our camps, every moment is a chance to connect with fellow creative minds and receive guidance and feedback from instructors, making each day fun and memorable.

July 21–25, 2025

Graphic Novels for Teens

Ages 13-17 | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Explore the essentials of creating a graphic novel, from designing dynamic characters and immersive settings to storyboarding and integrating text!

August 4–8, 2025

Comics: Words & Pictures

Ages 11-13 | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

In this step-by-step class, young cartoonists will learn the basics of character design, story development, page layout, penciling, editing, inking techniques, and more!

July 7–11, 2025

Storybook Studio (Session 1) – Full

Ages 6-8 | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Dive into all things book-related and get creative! Inspired by BIMA’s collection of children’s book illustrations and handmade books, campers will get hands-on and explore printmaking techniques, book binding, illustration, and more!

Estudio De Arte — Full

Ages 7-10 | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Play and experiment with a variety of art materials—paint, collage, clay, and so much more! With instruction will be provided in English, with Spanish introduced through art projects, games, and songs.

August 11–15, 2025

Creativity Lab – Full

Ages 9-11 | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Expand your creativity and learn how artists work! Students in this camp will explore new materials, take part in fun challenges, and create individual and collaborative projects.

August 18–22, 2025

Storybook Studio (Session 2) – Full

Explore visual storytelling through lines, shapes, and colors while learning the components of a great story! Inspired by BIMA’s collection of artist’s books and the vibrant works of Eric Carle, campers will get hands-on and explore printmaking techniques, bookbinding, illustration, and more!

BIMA Summer Camp Cancellation Policy

We understand that things come up and plans change. If a summer camp cancellation is made by May 1, a full refund will be issued, minus a non-refundable and non-transferable $35 registration & processing fee. If a cancellation is made by June 1, a 50% refund will be issued, minus the $35 registration & processing fee. Cancellations made after June 1 are not eligible for a refund, unless due to medical circumstances.
