This artwork honors creatures from the land and sky of the Pacific Northwest with the unique architectural aspects of the building in mind. A cougar walks down the ridge of a mountain, an eagle ascends on a summer breeze all while the moon rises.

Stevie Shao is a Seattle born-and-raised illustrator and muralist whose work draws inspiration from her Chinese background and life in the Pacific Northwest. Shao has shown work in Atlanta, LA, Portland, and Seattle, and painted vibrant large scale murals in cities across the country. She is passionate about local causes related to environmental stewardship, racial justice and preserving historic community roots.
