John Ellis: Bone Black Noir is Ellis’ (Bainbridge Island) latest series of monotypes. These black and white prints draw inspiration from fictional Film Noir scenes, imbuing them with a distinctive subject matter and mood. “Bone Black” alludes to both the ink’s color and the enigmatic, highly stylized vignettes portrayed in the artwork.
