Now on view! Don`t miss this opportunity to witness a piece of our shared history. A statue of Nisqually activist and humanitarian Billy Frank Jr. will be placed in National Statuary Hall. The half-size clay model, created by artist Haiying Wu, is on display to the public at BIMA through Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The full-scale statue will be cast in bronze and will stand over 9-feet tall, and is slated for installation in Washington, D.C. in 2025.

Thank you to our partners, the Nisqually Indian Tribe @nisquallytribe and the Washington State Arts Commission, @artswa for this special opportunity to share the model with our local community and museum visitors.
