Pierr Morgan is a painter who writes and illustrates children’s books.

As a youngster in Seattle she worked puzzles, designed paper dolls, colored in coloring books, and wrote poetry in a lockable diary. In the sixth grade, when her teacher read Where The Wild Things Are, Pierr chose her career.

For the next twenty-five years she took art, writing and storytelling classes in high school and at the University of Washington, until finally studying illustration and painting at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Her whimsical gouache paintings, oil still lifes and abstracted landscapes hang in homes around the country, and thousands of children all over the world enjoy her picture book illustrations.

Pierr continues to pursue new artistic projects in writing and illustrations. She works in her Bainbridge Island apartment studio in the treetops, illustrating the next picture book while writing a Middle-Grade humor novel.

She is inspired by birdsong, Mozart, Dove chocolates, her five-year old grandson, and a magnificent notion to delight and inspire others to discover and nurture their own imagination.

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) celebrates Pierr’s second solo exhibition in the MESA Gallery featuring her illustrations for the book, authored Carole Lexa Schaefer titled The Children’s Garden: Growing Food in the City.
