Text and Image in Artist’s Books
Past Event
This class is an exploration into the incorporation of text and content in artist’s books. Through various book structures, writing prompts, and low-tech printing and mark-making techniques, you will come away with one-of-a-kind zines, chapbooks, and experimental structures. We will discuss tips for maintaining a consistent writing and drawing practice, and explore concept development

About the Instructor
Jessica Hoffman is a book artist, printmaker, and installation artist living and working in Seattle, WA. She teaches Book Arts at Pratt Fine Arts Center, serves as an Advisory Board Member for Short Run Seattle, and along with her partner, Justin Quinlan, runs Paper Press Punch, a print studio and bindery focused on producing Risograph printed comics, prints, and artist books.
