Teen Art Mondays
Attention teens! If you’re looking to sharpen your skills, explore new techniques, and connect with fellow art lovers, Teen Art Mondays is back! Join us every 4th Monday of the month in the TEEN SPACE at the Kitsap Regional Library’s Bainbridge Island Branch to experiment with different artistic mediums and create projects guided by an Art Educator. Open to teens in grades 7–12.
Projects:
- 1/26/26 Paper Lantern Collages: Create undersea-themed paper lantern collages inspired by Mare Blocker.
- 2/23/26 Nature Sculptures: Drawing inspiration from Aisha Harrison, create a assemblage, a sculpture using items found in nature.
- 3/23/26 Leaf Reliefs in Clay Tiles: Create leaf imprints in clay tile inspired by the work of George and David Lewis.
- 4/28/26 Concrete Poetry: Inspired by Earth Day & National Poetry Month, create poems in the shape of different natural elements, such as animals, foliage, and the elements.
- 5/25/26 Hanji Meander Book Arts: Create a meander book with pockets using Hanji paper and inspiration from Aimee Lee.
