Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis) – smARTfilms: Artfilms
This documentary tells the story of two men who became unlikely friends and partners after a drug bust in 1964 at a Cambridge house. Through this chance encounter, they went on to share a flat in London during the Summer of Love in 1967, and by 1968 had formed the fledgling art house Hipgnosis. This is the powerful team who created dozens of the most iconic album covers in rock, including Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Black Sabbath, Paul McCartney, and more. Artist and musician interviews alongside a soundtrack to die for makes for a delicious bite of history.
