Sera Cahoone in Concert
Past Event

BIMA welcomes Americana singer-songwriter Sera Cahoone to our stage for the first time. Cahoone’s roots trace back to her upbringing in the Colorado foothills, where, as the daughter of a dynamite salesman, she began her musical journey playing drums at open blues jams in a dive bar at the age of 12. As a young adult, she relocated to Seattle, where she made her mark as a drummer with the beloved indie rock group Carissa’s Weird and later, Band of Horses. Subsequently, she embarked on a solo career, releasing four records, including two with Sub Pop. In 2019, Cahoone achieved a Gold Record for her contributions to Band of Horses.

Cahoone has captured the hearts of independent music enthusiasts, earning recognition from KEXP, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series, First Listen, and Songs We Love. Her work has also been featured in publications such as UPROXX, ELLE, and KEXP. However, Cahoone’s appeal extends beyond critical acclaim; she is cherished by her dedicated fanbase. Her audiences consist of the curious, the seekers, and those who simply yearn to hear her sing once more, “I wanna be your sidewalk / I’ll take you everywhere / We’ll travel ’round this world a million times.”
