Develop skills ranging from idea generation to printing multiples in this collaborative workshop. Participants will develop a poem or phrase, hand set letterpress type with vintage fonts, and generate small works to keep and share in a print exchange. No prior printing experience necessary.

About the Instructor

Born in Bremerton, Washington, Lynda Sherman is a studio artist and educator. She runs her own print studio in Seattle and is a founding board member of Wayzgoose Kitsap, a non-profit that puts printing in the streets Bremerton. Sherman has taught at Penland School of Crafts and Ladies of Letterpress Print Week in St. Louis, MO. Her work is featured in the Swedish Hospital Collection, the Center for the Study of Political Graphics and in Ladies of Letterpress (Princeton Architectural Press).
