BIMA’s first ever Adult Puppet Slam! Join us for wild and wooly evening of short-form puppet performance featuring a variety of styles of puppetry and some of the most inventive and accomplished puppeteers from all over the Puget Sound. Hosted by master puppeteer, Jon Little of Little’s Creatures, a Boston-based puppet company, this imaginative event is a funny, furry celebration of the art and craft of puppets!

Jonathan Little is the founder of Littles Creatures, a full service puppet company based in Medford, MA, which has built puppets and performed for individuals and companies across the United States and abroad. Jon is a graduate of Sesame Street’s puppeteer training workshop and has studied with some of the nations best television puppeteers, including Muppeteers Martin P. Robinson, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, Tyler Bunch, Tim Lagasse, and Jim Kroupa. Jon has also assistant-taught in Jim Kroupas mechanism workshop at the Eugene ONeill National Puppetry Conference. Jon has been a regular Puppet Showplace Slam performer for over a decade, and has been a popular PST teaching artist since 2011. He is a co-creator and coach of “Gym Jam,” a monthly monitor technique workout at Puppet Showplace. Recently, he designed puppets for the acclaimed SpeakEasy Stage production of Hand to God. In addition to performing, Jon is skilled in the fine arts, including sculpture, film, video, drawing, and painting. He holds a degree from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston
