Past Event

Bloedel Reserve presents Creative Resident Jeffery Darensbourg, Ph.D.

Writing and speaking across a number of genres about mixed ethnicity, Indigenous culture in Louisiana, mental illness, and white passing, Jeffery U. Darensbourg is always having to explain something, including where he lives, Bulbancha, which others call “New Orleans”, much to his disapproval. A Creative Resident at Bloedel Reserve, he narrates some of his recent work complicating and illuminating matters close to him.

Cost: $5 Register through Bloedel Reserve/Events

Writer, public speaker, researcher, and provocateur, Jeffery U. Darensbourg, Ph.D., is member of the Atakapa-Ishak Nation of Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas.
