Día de los Muertos ofrenda
The traditional ofrenda (or altar), the centerpiece of the Dia de los Muertos celebration which brings to life the memories of those who have passed away, and the ornate and colorful pair of quilts created by artist Araceli Cruz returns to BIMA for this year’s celebration.
Submit tributes of loved ones that have passed to be added to the ofrenda, or altar, by emailing words and photos to firstname.lastname@example.org. A BIMA staff member will print your contribution and add it to our on-site ofrenda.
While the ofrenda will be open for in-person visits during regular museum hours, all tributes must be submitted via email to be added by a BIMA staff member due to current health restrictions.
