Masaye Okano (Sousei) Nakagawa

For the past several years prior to Covid shutting so much of things down worldwide, Nakagawa had been teaching private Chadou, the “Way of Tea” classes in her home tearoom, Yukouan (友交庵), in Seattle.

Masaye has been doing demonstrations of Chadō, the Way of Tea, at the Seattle Art Museum and at the Teahouse in the Japanese Gardens in the Arboretum in Seattle for decades, and will be recommencing demos at the Japanese Gardens this October.
