Community Art at Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center
Get creative and connect with others at our monthly Community Art events at the Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center! Happening the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1-3pm, each art project is inspired by one of BIMA’s current exhibitions and is taught by a museum educator.
2nd Tuesdays, 1:00 – 3:00 pm (Register through BISCC)
BISCC Community Art Projects:
- 5/12/26 Hanji Meander Book Arts: Create a meander book with pockets using Hanji paper, inspired by Aimee Lee’s exhibition Tethered.
-
9/8/26: Hand-Quilted and Embroidered Artist Book Covers: Using fabric, thread, and found items, we will hand-quilt and embroider an artist book cover. Inspired by Carletta Carrington Wilson’s Object Lessons and Handwork 2026.
NOTE: This event takes a summer break! There will be no BIMA Community Art at BISCC June, July, or August.
