Drawing directly from the human figure is a wonderful way to hone technical and creative drawing skills while exploring variations in lighting, poses, and settings. Join us for GO Figure! an ongoing series of drawing sessions led by artist Emily Browne.

The life-drawing studio is open to anyone interested in working from the model, regardless of experience level.

Come to work independently or with instructor Emily Browne's guidance to build skills on observational drawing, line work, value, foreshortening/perspective, and color. Participants are welcome to stay for an optional half hour of discussion, feedback, and critique at the end of each session. Easels, drawing boards, and tabletop work surfaces are available, and participants bring their own drawing paper and pencils.

Keep your hand drawing during our daytime model sessions set in unique locations from the BIMA galleries to the Island Gateway campus, weather permitting. Easels, drawing boards, and tabletop work surfaces are available, and participants bring their own drawing paper and pencils. Participants are welcome to stay for an optional half hour of discussion, feedback, and critique at the end of each session.
