Family pARTy!

BIMA celebrates the opening of each new exhibition with a Family pARTy on opening day. Art fans of all ages can take in the new exhibitions, participate in hands-on art projects, enjoy youth-centered entertainment, and meet some of the artist whose work is on display. A community-building event, BIMA partners with other non-profit organizations like the Suquamish Museum, KiDiMu, Kitsap Regional Library, Bainbridge Island Historical Museum, and Bloedel Reserve to bring a wide range of artist ideas to each event.

smARTfilms & Silent Film Festival

BIMA has built a loyal following of film lovers that gather regularly in the Frank Buxton Auditorium throughout the year.

  • smARTfilms – Different film curators work to put together nine series, typically 5-6 weeks long, that have a theme. Topics have included Film Noir, Musicals, Food and Culture. Curators share their extensive knowledge of film after each screening and often invite experts from specific genres to attend.
  • Silent Film Festival – Silent films were never really silent—they employed live musicians to bring the films to life. Join BIMA in its effort to celebrate this unique art form and keep it alive.

Both opportunities bring advertising inclusion and a captive audience, plus tickets for you and your VIPs.

Within/Earshot Jazz Festival & Momentum Festival

BIMA’s signature festivals offer dedicated promotional plans, recognition from the stage and in the galleries, and inclusion in a campaign reach that includes print, digital and radio.

  • Jazz—America’s greatest contribution to the art of music—is bringing down houses at BIMA every fall. 2018’s Within/Earshot Jazz Festival included five sold-out shows, four lectures, a visual art exhibition, a jazz film, and community events with other participating organizations. A partnership with Seattle’s Earshot Jazz, this special opportunity offers a chance to reach a unique audience that is passionate about the artform.
  • Momentum is BIMA’s celebration of new ideas in the arts. The series is different every year, reacting to the world around it, and features everything from lectures on contemporary issues or ground-breaking artwork, to concerts and films programmed to engage the mind and BIMA’s loyal audience of art-lovers.
