First Saturday Trunk Show: Dawn McNamara's Ceramic Arts
Saturday, July 11, 2015 | NOON-4PM
Join us for an exceptionally fun First Saturday Trunk Show with Bainbridge Island artist Dawn McNamara. McNamara’s whimsical pottery includes teapots, candleholders, trays, and small serving items, featuring fish and frog themes. She has been working in ceramics since 1986. Her passion for combining thrown and hand built creations has continued to blossom. She attended the 2005 Ceramic Art Conference and Exhibition in Yixing, China and was invited to contribute one of her pieces to the museum’s permanent art collection. We have been carrying McNamara’s work in the BIMA Store for some time now and are delighted to present her unique and smile-inducing work.
First Saturday Trunk Show: kimber elements
Saturday, August 8, 2015 | NOON-4PM
The BIMA Store is excited to feature kimber elements. A Seattle-based artist with a multi-media background, Kimber Leblicq launched her company on 11/11/11. Each piece of jewelry is a unique design that is only replicated 11 times. Always evolving and changing, creating wearable sculpture using non-traditional materials, her work is influenced by abstract text, repetition, and simplicity. We have been carrying Leblicq's work for almost two years and look forward to the arrival of her always creative pieces!
