Intro to Linoleum Printing
Past Event

Let’s get pumped up for the 2nd annual Wayzgoose Kitsap Festival with a hands-on printing workshop! This 4-hour session (with a break for snacks) will have demos and lively discussion while we carve one color reduction linoleum blocks. We will learn methods of transferring an image to lino, and best carving practices of this traditional printing method. You will leave knowing how to continue this printing technique in your own home without special equipment. No need to have an image in mind before you arrive, you are encouraged to discover creative decision making while collaborating with the group. Open to all levels. Once you’ve taken the class you’ll be even more excited for the print-themed festival happening in downtown Bremerton on Aug 31 and Sept 1 (Labor Day Weekend).
