Museum Location

Bainbridge Island Museum is located on beautiful Bainbridge Island, just a 35-minute ferry ride from Seattle and a five-minute walk, and an easy drive or bus ride from anywhere in Kitsap County. Parking is available and it is FREE to visitors.

Directions From Seattle

Take the Seattle-Bainbridge Ferry from Coleman Dock. Enjoy the ferry ride with views of the city and Mt. Rainier for 35 minutes. Upon disembarking the ferry, exit the ferry building, walk up the hill and across Winslow Way. Turn left and walk about 300 yards to 550 Winslow Way East or to Ravine Lane. The art museum is on the right. 

Directions From Kitsap County

Take Highway 305 South across the Agate Pass Bridge and onto Bainbridge Island. Turn right onto Winslow Way, then take the first right onto Ravine Lane NE into the parking area. Visitor parking is free.


The Island Gateway complex has accessible parking spaces on Ravine Lane on the West side in the front. There is a flat surface entering the courtyard spaces leading to the museum. Parking is also available in the underground garage. Take the elevator to First Floor Rear (1R) during museum hours for access through the Community Gallery to the Auditorium and main art museum.

All of the Museum is accessible by ramps and elevators. If you or someone needs a wheelchair to enjoy the museum, ask to borrow a loaner at the reception desk.
