About the Artist

Pierr Morgan is a painter who writes and illustrates children’s books. As a youngster in Seattle she worked puzzles, designed paper dolls, colored in coloring books, and wrote poetry in a lockable diary. In the sixth grade, when her teacher read Where The Wild Things Are, Pierr chose her career.

For the next twenty-five years she took art, writing, and storytelling classes in high school and at the University of Washington, until finally studying illustration and painting at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Her whimsical gouache paintings, oil still lifes and abstracted landscapes hang in homes around the country, and thousands of children all over the world enjoy her picture book illustrations.
