Inner Portraits

Inner Portraits
goes beneath the surface of common portraiture – revealing complexities of life as interpreted by more than twenty artists from the Puget Sound region. Each of the artists includes faces and/or figures in their work, ranging from simple emotions and experiences to personal histories or reflections on society at-large. Viewers of all ages will have fun and also be challenged to reflect on the artists’ embedded meanings – please participate by recording your comments or creating your own inner portrait.

Participating artists include: Lynn Brofsky (Print), Syd Brown (Painting), Karen Buhler (Glass), Patty Grazini (Paper Sculpture), Glenda Guilmet (Mixed Media), Pam Ingalls (Painting), Elizabeth Jameson (Mixed Media), Stephen MacFarlane (Print), Marilyn Montufar (Photography), Shawn Nordfors (Sculpture), Sue Roberts (Sculpture), Joel Sackett (Photography), Barbara Earl Thomas (Painting/Print), Cynthia Toops (Jewelry/Mixed Media), Preston Wadley (Mixed Media), and Nancy Worden (Jewelry). Artworks showcased are created in diverse media including photography, painting, printmaking, artist’s books, wood, ceramics, glass, mixed media sculpture, and jewelry.
