Mindfulness Meditation (Online)

Join us for a weekly group Mindfulness Meditation practice led by Steve Parsons. Mindfulness Meditation focuses on calming your body and mind through present moment awareness and deep breathing.

Meditation has been shown to support pain and stress management and plays an important role in many self-care routines and spiritual practices. Our sessions begin with an opening reading, followed by 30 minutes of silent meditation and a closing reflection.

We invite beginners and experienced meditators alike to join us for these relaxed and welcoming weekly sessions, hosted virtually via Zoom, with hybrid sessions the first Thursday of each month hosted live in BIMA’s Auditorium and streamed simultaneously on Zoom.

Please reach out to creativeaging@biartmuseum.org with any questions.

“BIMA’s Thursday Mindfulness sessions have provided a focus as well as a haven for me in this challenging year. Steve and Anika have created a place where I can come (via Zoom) and let my fears and anxieties go; where I can still my mind, be at peace and even experience joy in the quieting of my thoughts.”

— Jamie A. (Mindfulness Meditation Attendee)

Mindfulness Meditation is one of BIMA’s longest-running programs, with attendees returning weekly to share in a moment of stillness and reflection amidst their busy lives. At BIMA’s Mindfulness Meditation sessions, beginners and experienced meditators gather in a relaxed and welcoming environment to support each other in this practice of quieting one’s thoughts, slowing down, and breathing deeply. Start your Thursday with a moment of peace by dropping in and meditating alongside members of BIMA’s mindfulness community.
