You are invited to join BIMA's After School Art Club on Monday afternoons from 2-4pm in the Classroom. Be inspired by the museum's current exhibitions. Explore new techniques and materials. Create your own works of art.

Taught by Isobel Coney. All materials provided.

Outdoor Sculptural Installation
Create a temporary site-specific sculpture and record the finished product using photography.

Drawing: Gesture, Line & Form
Capture the human figure in drawing, learning about line, proportion and the structure of the body.

Figurative Wire Sculpture
Construct a standing figurative form out of wire, gauze and plaster.

Print, Collage & Patterns
Printmaking and collage layers inspire designs rich with texture and pattern.

Wood Sculpture
Assemble an abstract sculpture using found and scrap wood.

Storymaking: Super Heroes
Using the comic book form, create your own character and story.

GO Figure! Fall Session

Drawing directly from the human figure is a wonderful way to hone your technical skills while exploring variations in lighting, poses, and settings. Join us for BIMA's GO Figure!, a non-instructed series of 6 sessions coordinated and supervised by artist Tracy Lang.

This life-drawing studio is open to anyone interested in working from the model, regardless of experience level. No instruction or drawing materials supplied; easels, drawing boards and tabletop work surfaces are available.
