BIMA Members and special guests are invited to join Bainbridge Island Museum of Art in celebration of the our newest exhibitions.
BIMA is proud to present Rodriguez’s first solo art museum exhibition in the Northwest, following his solo show at The University of Texas, El Paso. George Rodriguez is originally from El Paso, and currently lives in Seattle. His large-scale ceramic sculptures are a blend of traditional folk art and contemporary fine art and craft - hand-built and enhanced with various surface patterns, colors and glazes.
Anne Schreivogl was born and raised in Seattle and received a BFA from Western Washington University (Bellingham) in 1994. She is a prolific painter and writer and is currently completing a book about creativity. Her work is spontaneous and intuitive, with a large dose of whimsy. BIMA is proud to feature Schreivogl in her first art museum solo exhibition.
Artists working in diverse media address various concepts of ‘home’ ranging from traditional structures such as houses and bird nests to geographic anchors, life journeys, emotional attachments, and social and political dissociation.
Walcott presents his paintings blending realism, narrative, and sometimes humor, ranging from still lifes to iconic regional scenes.
