Hear solo exhibiting artists' speak about their work, inspiration, methods and materials. Lectures are in the Auditorium, followed by a reception with food and drink either in the Bistro or one of the galleries.
Join us for a talk by Featherfolio artist Chris Maynard, who will illuminate sources of inspiration -- from the scientific to the personal -- behind his artwork, which features a singular focus on hand-cut feathers. Reception with light food and drink in the gallery with the artist's work will take place immediately afterward. We'll also raise a glass for a Happy Bird-day toast to the artist!Maynard's work has been included in numerous exhibitions nationally and in Canada and China since 2011. His exhibition at BIMA is his first solo art museum show. From framed compositions of varying scales to site-specific installations will be included, and promise to delight viewers of all ages.
