DDLM Skulls


A Mexican cultural tradition honoring and welcoming home the spirits of deceased loved ones.

Please bring a photo of a loved one for the altar (4"x4" or smaller).


Community Celebration:

Saturday, October 28

  • 9:30-10:30am - Mariposa Procession at Kids Discovery Museum
  • 10:30-11:30am - Opening presentation, public remembrances and offerings.
  • 11:30am-2pm - Face painting, papel picado (cut paper), and tissue paper flower activities in the classroom. Sample Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto. Themed lunch menu available for purchase in the Bistro while supplies last.
  • 11:30am-6pm - Hosted ofrenda: public contributions to the altar.


Thursday, November 2

  • 4-6pm - Observation of Dia de los Muertos Holiday at the ofrenda.


October 29 - November 5 

  • 10am-6pm - Ofrenda/altar open to the public.
    Looping in the auditorium: Craft in America's episode about Day of the Dead.
