Calling all 5th-8th grade artists!

You are invited to join BIMA's After School Art Club on Monday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm in the Classroom. Be inspired by the museum's current exhibitions. Explore new techniques and materials. Create your own works of art.

Taught by Isobel Coney. All materials provided.

6 Session Series Pass: $150


September 25 - Cyanotype
Explore one of the oldest photographic techniques through direct contact printing on handmade cyanotype paper.

October 2 - Watercolor
Experiment with a variety of different types of watercolors and techniques.

October 9 - Batik
Learn how to batik, a process of dyeing fabric using a wax resist, and make your own fabric banner.

October 16 - Acrylic Painting
Paint landscapes and animals inspired by the work of Robert McCauley.

October 23 - Imaginative Drawing
Use your imagination, and a variety of drawing materials, to create fantastical visual stories. 

October 30 - Dia de los Muertos Puppets
Make puppets for Mexican Day of the Dead from wire, fabric and paper.
